Your teeth will be initially examined to determine the need for an inlay/onlay. The affected area will be numbed with local anesthesia. Any tooth decay is removed in preparation for inlay or onlay treatment.
Inlays replace parts of a decayed tooth while onlays are located on the chewing surface of a decayed tooth. Impressions of your teeth will be taken to create a mold that is sent to a lab. You will be given a temporary filling to fill up the cavity.
Your inlay/onlay will be placed on your teeth. The resin is applied and hardened to the treated areas with low-density light.
