The Process
Before undergoing fluoride treatment, your mouth and teeth will be examined. Your mouth will be fitted with a mouthguard in order to prevent irritation from the high amount of fluoride content. Then, your specialist will apply a fluoride gel, varnish, or foam directly to your teeth. Sometimes, the patient may choose a flavor of fluoride treatment to make it more enjoyable.
Questions?
The substance will remain on your teeth under 5 minutes. Then, the patient will spit out the fluoride and should not eat or drink within 30 minutes after treatment. You can expect to get a smile that you can be proud along with reduced chances of cavity development.
